CHILDREN & TEENS, AGES 3 AND UP
Kids and teens love our office!
For teens: a safe place to talk about what matters to them, and real tools to handle stress, academics and athletics, and to find balance in life.
For kids as young as 3: children often show us what hurts before they can say it. Our office is set up for hands-on, experiential therapy, with directive and child-centered play therapy, sand tray therapy, art, painting, clay and other creative activities that help kids express big feelings and learn new ways to cope.

Safe Harbor Counseling Center is a small Christian staff of licensed therapists and associates, owned and directed by Elaine M. Romero, LMFT. We welcome clients of every faith and background, and we never impose our beliefs on anyone. Faith becomes part of counseling only when a client asks for it.

A Christian staff, and a safe place for everyone
At Safe Harbor Counseling Center, we are a Christian staff. We understand the Christ-like morals Christians are trying to live by, and we’re honored to be a partner ministry of Rancho Community Church. Many other pastors, churches and Christian schools also refer to Elaine and our team.
We bring faith into counseling only if you want it. We would never impose Christian beliefs on anyone, and clients of every faith and background are welcome here.
Fees
We offer a sliding scale of fees based on the therapist’s licensure and experience. Safe Harbor Counseling Center is a private-pay practice, and we provide a monthly superbill you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
